Prerequisites: This beginner’s class is required for any advanced gourd art class
Class Description: In this class you will learn how to craft a gourd and turn it into an art piece worthy of display in your home. You will learn how to cut,
clean, prepare the interior, stain, and apply a pine needle rim. This class offers 2 skills in one: gourd art and pine needle weaving.
Fee: $90 for HWFA members (must have completed orientation at the time of registration) or $100 for non-members, payable by check, cash, or
credit card to HWFA.
Materials fee: $20
Supplies brought by student: teacher will send you an email and let you know
Materials provided by instructor or HWFA: Teacher will provide all the materials and tools (including
gourds and pine needles) needed to create your masterpiece. There will be a variety of stains and décor items for you to choose from to suit your style.
