Prerequisites: Beginner, but helpful if you have used Pearl Cotton Thread
Class Description: You will learn the basics of making the covered ring with Pearl Cotton #5 weight, then adding the tree design element. We will be discussing other embellishments like seed beads that can be added.
Fee: $50 for HWFA members (must have completed orientation at the time of registration) or $60 for non-members, payable by check, cash or credit card Materials fee: $3.00 payable to teacher in cash on first day of class
Materials provided by instructor: everything that is needed…..Pearl Cotton thread #5, 1 1/2” plastic O ring and needles
Supplies brought by student: sharp scissors and any light or magnifier that will aid you to see better detail.
Location: Boarding House, Historic Johnson Farm, 3346 Haywood Road, Hendersonville, NC. At the entrance is a large parking lot and a building called the Interpretive Center. Go by the building and at the end of the parking lot turn right onto the gravel road. The little white house on the left is the Boarding House. There are 5 parking spots there….4 spaces on the left, 1 Handicap space directly in front of you. If parking spots are full, drop your stuff, then go back to the large parking lot and park. Walk up the gravel road or the path through the wooded area.
