Class Description: Once upon a time, the granny square was regarded as an antiquated crochet component meant solely for your grandma’s afghans. In this modern crochet era, granny squares are a dynamic & versatile element of so many gorgeous crochet home goods, clothes, and accessories.
In this class, we will use the granny square to establish your foundational crochet knowledge, introducing fundamentals such as the slip stitch, magic circle, chain stitch, single crochet, double crochet, and how to read a crochet pattern. You will then apply these new skills to create a beautiful handbag or clutch (you decide!), made from your crocheted granny squares. Not only will you leave this class with a stunning finished product, but you will also have a solid foundation of crochet skills you can apply in any future crochet project.
