Prerequisites: Know how to warp the loom. Please let me know when you register if you have your own loom or need to borrow a loom.
Class Description: Turn your plain weave into anything but plain weave. With pick-up sticks create warp and weft floats, learn decorative hemstitching, finger manipulated lace weaves, create a tapestry-like effect with clasped weft and try overshot snowmen - create a sampler you will use for inspiration for years to come.
Fee: $60 for HWFA members (must have completed orientation at the time of registration) $70 for non-members, payable by check, cash or credit card
Materials fee: 0
Supplies brought by teacher: Instructor will provide yarn, handouts and some pickup sticks - all materials included in price of class.
Supplies brought by students: bring: 10" or wider Rigid Heddle Loom, threading hook, 10 dent heddle, 2 table clamps, 2 stick shuttles, pickup sticks various widths, scissors, #13 tapestry needle for hemstitching and sticky notes.
