Prerequisites: Advanced basket class. You must have taken the Beginners Basket class or have strong basket experience.
Class Description: Calling all knitters and crocheters! Originally made by Abenaki Indians a hundred years ago, a sample of this basket is on display at the Smithsonian. It is 12” high by 6” diameter, featuring a wood bottom and a lid with a wooden disc hole at the top. It will accommodate a skein or ball of yarn and a single strand will come out through the top hole. Various types of carrying straps will be provided. We will provide a linen liner for an additional $10 or you may line it yourself in your favorite fabric. This is a quality basket which will last a lifetime.
Fee: $80 for HWFA members (must have completed orientation at time of registration) or $90 for non-members, payable to check, cash or credit card.
All materials and tools provided.
Materials fee: $20 payable in cash to instructor the first day of class.
